Z-Flex® II AF Foil fabrics are an economical option for heat shielding applications. The foil backed fabrics reflect 95% of radiant energy, like Z-Flex® II Multilayer Aluminized fabrics. Z-Flex® II Aluminum Foil fabrics are a perfect option for more static applications.
Aluminum foil fabrics are ideal for use in fixed applications like static heat shields, static heat wraps, and thermal insulation pads. They are not recommended for exposure to stretching, twisting, vibration, or other repetitive movements.
The Z-Flex II AF film can be applied to both lightweight filament fiberglass cloth or to texturized fiberglass fabric for applications where a thicker, stiffer fabric (35 – 75 mils) is desired. Z-Flex® II AF Foil fabrics are available in full 50-yard rolls, and can also be slit down to make aluminum foil tapes for header and wiring wraps.
Z-Flex® II Aluminum Foil fabrics offer radiant heat protection up to 3000°F / 1650°C. The aluminum foil laminate can withstand direct contact with high temperatures up to 1100°F / 595°C.
