DualMirror® II Aluminized Rayon fabrics deliver the same great radiant heat protection and outstanding molten metal and burn protection that DualMirror® II Aluminization is known for combined with the flexibility, comfort, and affordable cost of rayon. These aluminized fabrics are often used to fabricate aluminized clothing for foundry, glass, and industrial firefighting operations.
DualMirror® II Aluminized Rayon fabric features a herringbone weave and is available in 15 oz or 17 oz weights. DualMirror® II reflects up to 95% of radiant energy, provides radiant heat protection up to 3000°F / 1650°C, and provides excellent protection from molten metal splash.
Though aluminized rayon is commonly used in aluminized clothing, it is not your only option. Newtex also manufactures aluminized fiberglass fabrics and aluminized aramid fabrics, also used in protective apparel and heat shields.
