Fly Safe with the FAA Approved FireCape Fire Containment Cover by Newtex

The TSO-C203 Approved FireCape® Fire Containment Cover (FCC) is the product of 40 years of experience in high temperature fabrics and fire protection systems. Certified to isolate and contain a palletized cargo fire for 6 hours, the fire containment cover ensures flight safety by giving the crew valuable time to land safely in the event of an aircraft fire. Without a fire containment cover, the crew may have as little as 17 minutes to land safely. This passive protection system is specifically designed to contain scorching, violent fires caused by Lithium-Ion batteries, undeclared dangerous goods, and other hazardous materials. The FireCape® is not only intended for use aboard cargo and passenger aircraft, it can also be used to manage fire risk in warehouses and hangars, aboard ships, and anywhere there is a risk of a palletized cargo fire.

The FireCape® Fire Containment Cover is made with Z-Block™ Flame Retardant Fabrics which exceed the dangerous goods regulations set by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and leading air cargo carriers. This strong and weather resistant thermal fabric can withstand temperatures up to 1800°F / 980°C.

In addition to providing significant risk reduction for air transport, this fire-resistant cargo cover was designed with airport ground crews in mind. It is lightweight, durable, and easy to deploy and maintain.

The United States Navy and leading cargo airlines all over the world trust the FireCape® Fire Containment Cover to mitigate fire risk and keep their crews protected.

Newtex also manufactures fire containment bags that contain lithium-ion batteries fires that start in laptops and other personal electronic devices, fire containment overpack bags for individual shipping boxes, and custom fire protection systems for specialized applications. We partner with Trip & Co., a leading European cargo cover and netting supplier, to sell FireCape® Fire Containment Covers in Europe and around the globe.
