Utilizing over four decades of experience in high temperature performance fabrics and design, we developed our Draft Curtain System for use in manufacturing environments, warehouses, and hangars. These lightweight, static panels are designed to channel smoke in the rafter area out of the building through designated vents. They can be utilized in both sprinklered and non-sprinklered buildings for automatic smoke evacuation.

All smoke curtains are designed and manufactured at our ISO 9001:2015 facility in Upstate New York.

Off-the-Shelf Kits

Offered in standard drop heights of 2 ft and 4.5 ft, these 24 ft long panels come with angle brackets, washers, and screws ready for install. The sections can easily be combined to fit each building’s needs.

Custom Sizes

Newtex can create custom drop heights and widths for your unique project. All systems come equipped with angle brackets, washers and screws.

Unique Pocket Design

Newtex offers two bottom-pocket options for improved versatility of the system. The standard kit includes a conduit bottom for easy pipe insertion in the field, resulting in a rigid bottom. Alternatively, Newtex’s proprietary flex-bottom design is a lighter-weight option that works especially well for angled rooflines.

Color Options

In addition to Black, Newtex offers Salmon, Red, Yellow and Silver color options. Custom colors are also available for qualifying volumes.

More Options of Curtains

In addition to draft curtains, Newtex also manufactures ZetexPlus® proscenium curtains for fire protection in auditoriums and theaters and Z-Flex® Multilayer Aluminized curtains for radiant heat protection. The ZetexPlus® proscenium curtains have been certified by the California State Fire Marshal (CSFM) and the New York City Department of Buildings. Z-Flex® fabrics have been tested extensively for radiant heat resistance, molten metal resistance, and limited flame spread.
